During my recent transit in Camacha, I had the privilege of staying at Quinta Das Faias. The hotel's proximity to Madeira Airport, only 8 km away, was a major advantage for me as a frequent traveler. It made my journey extremely convenient and stress-free, allowing me to rest and relax before my next flight. the hotel provided a laundry service for a fee, which came in handy for freshening up my clothes during my short stay.
While my overall experience at Quinta Das Faias was largely positive, there was one minor aspect that could be improved. In the database, it mentioned that the hotel offered a microwave instead of a real oven.

We easily found the accommodation thanks to the clear directions provided by the previous guests. The location was convenient, with a supermarket, petrol station, and bakery just a short walk away. Our bungalow provided a private and peaceful setting, with a parking space right by our doorstep. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the electronic safe gave us a sense of security. The owner, Filippe, and his wife were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed our meals at 'O Regedor' and had a great time at the bars in Camacha. Filippe's homemade confiture was a delicious treat. The central heating system kept us cozy, and the WiFi worked well throughout our stay.
Although the house was not spotless, the cleanliness was manageable. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the bathtub could use some descaling.

The bungalows at Quinta Das Faias are cozy and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchenette and a private bathroom. The rooms are serviced three times a week, which adds to the convenience. Some units even have a lovely patio with sea views, perfect for enjoying the surroundings. Plus, all the rooms come with a flat-screen TV and coffee/tea makers, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the bathtubs or showers with deep soaking bathtubs. But hey, that's just my personal preference, and I'm sure others might still find them relaxing.

Wow, what a wonderful stay! the place was clean and had everything we needed for our 7-day stay. the yard was absolutely beautiful and gave us lots of private space and time to relax. One of the best things was having our own parking lot, which made things super convenient. the location was great too, with a supermarket just 5 minutes away on foot, along with a petrol station and an amazing bakery. And let's not forget about Filipe, the owner, who was so helpful and provided us with all the information we needed. a perfect choice for 2 couples!
While the stay was amazing, there were a few minor downsides. the cleanliness of the house could have been better, especially in the bathroom and sleeping room.

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Das Faias, a beautiful cottage surrounded by stunning natural scenery. The location was perfect for exploring the southern and eastern parts of the island. The cottage itself was private and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy wood burner. We were impressed by the friendliness of our host, Filipe, who welcomed us with homemade bread and local eggs. The bungalow was cleaned every other day, including the dishwashing machine. The direct bus connection to Funchal was convenient, and there was a great Levada walk close by. We also appreciated the proximity of a supermarket, which was open even on Sundays. we found our stay to be great value for the price.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
